Italian brand Bisazza presents MARMO for Milan Design Week 2022, a two-part collection of decorative marble mosaic tiles designed by Italian architect Carlo Dal Bianco and Parisian architecture firm Studio KO.
As part of Milan Design Week 2022, Bisazza has launched two new tile series; MARMOSAICO, in collaboration with Carlo Dal Bianco, and COLLEZIONE STUDIO KO, in collaboration with Studio KO co-founders Karl Fournier and Olivier Marty; collectively known as MARMO.
Karl and Olivier interpret the natural elegance of marble through a contemporary lens in COLLEZIONE STUDIO KO. The three featured patterns represent an overall brave approach to geometry, light and tradition. At the same time, they showcase Studio KO’s long-standing interest in marble; “marble is our chosen material featured in almost all our projects. Its rich heritage and contemporary elegance make it an ultimate source of creativity and expression,” Olivier says.
MARMOSAICO comprises ten unique motifs made with marble tesserae, hand-cut according to traditional techniques by Bisazza Atelier artisans. The collection pays tribute to the elegant forms and chromatic combinations depicted in early-20th-century Milanese architecture, with each pattern named after a well-known Milanese landmark.
